Over 55 years of research and development have culminated in the creation of the most advanced ski on the market. By combining new innovations with time-tested technologies, Connelly have built the ultimate slalom weapon. For 2023 they added
a 63 inch size to accommodate smaller skiers and young competitors, as well as two more Versatail shapes. Versatail offers the capability to fine tune the ski and achieve the perfect carve. The DV8 is your ticket to taking more off the rope and still clearing all 6.

VERSATAIL
While considerable masterminding is put into the overall construction of a high-end slalom ski — the sidecut, rocker, bevels, etc — many people don’t realize how large a part the last few inches of the tail play. A change in tail geometry can mean the difference in a ski performing in perfect rhythm with your personal style. Connelly’s patent pending VersaTail technology offers the ability to fine tune the flow of water off the tail of the ski, taking a step beyond the standard fin and binding position adjustments. Skiers can choose from one of three tails, which are all included with the DV8.

STOCK VT – Designed to offer a balanced tail depth through the turn and across the wake.

SQUARE VS – A square tail shape that adds lift, support and provides a clean release off the wake.

ROUND VR – The round tail lets the ski sit deeper in the waterinto the turn, addingcontrol at higher speedsfor quicker turns and reduced taill blowout.

ROUND TO SQUARE VRS – Allows the ski to ride deeper in the water on left turns and
provides more tip pressure on the right hand turns. This may benefit the skier on their
onside and/or offside turns depending on their strength and style.

SQUARE TO ROUND VSR – Allows the ski to ride deeper in the water on right turns
and provides more tip pressure on the left hand turns. This may benefit the
skier on their onside and/or offside turns depending on their strength and style.

CONNELLY TEMPEST SKI BINDING

The Tempest binding features a redesigned wrap with fewer seams to create a more cohesive fit around your foot. 3D molding increases rigidity in key areas for added response, creating a better connection between you and your ski. Dual lace zones let you customize fit over the top of your foot and around your ankle. Connelly molded toe features a stretch panel ensuring that it stays flush on any foot whether it’s narrow, wide, tall, or short.
